BRISTOL STREET TREES
BRISTOL STREET TREES
2008
Yes, BristolStreetTrees.org does campaign for large trees in our streets. But there are locations where London Planes and Limes are not appropriate, so we’re happy to see smaller trees being planted instead.
However, it is a missed opportunity when, in a large area of unusable land remaining after a highways scheme in Easton Way is implemented, the council chooses to plant Ginkgos instead of anything more substantial.
Why? What is the justification? They are using our money, after all. And Ginkgos are just not going do anything to combat climate change.

Bristol City Council misses out on planting large trees.
