Trees for Cities has teamed up with the Woodland Trust to produce this manifesto in the run-up to the London  Mayoral election.  It’s a good initiative but we would have liked to see more mention of canopy cover as the key measure – our success or failure should be judged in part on the percentage change in urban canopy cover.  And, you’ve guessed it, the planting and maintenance of street trees that will become large.
