Our dumb council have decided to fell the only decent trees in the town centre…to be replaced with some small acer types that’ll maybe get to 30foot high.
A major campaign is now running to save them, the local paper has been supportive of the campaign as have 99% of the local populous.
Look at the website to check it out. There might be a maladministration case brought against the council over this.

What a great initiative! More power to your elbows (I mean, trees!). As a long time (though no longer) Bristol resident I loved ‘my’ trees and still reminisce on the old city centre trees (limes?) that gave such wonderful shade in the summertime. Now replaced by strange urinal like fountains and hot, hot paving…
